Berrima Street Early Learning

Settling in

Nothing here is a rule. It's what usually works, and we'll shape it around your child rather than the other way round.

The first fortnight

Two short visits where you stay — an hour each, long enough to meet the educators and find the sensory wall. Then a half day, then a full day. Most children have settled by the end of the second week; some take three, and that is ordinary rather than a problem.

What we'll tell you

A message mid-morning for the first few days, and it will be the actual picture rather than a cheerful nothing. If it was a hard morning we'll say so, and what we tried.

What to bring

Two changes of clothes, a named drink bottle, and anything that helps at sleep time. Meals, nappies, wipes, sunscreen and hats are all in the fee — there is nothing else to pack.
