The careful, patient work of a baby's first year is exactly where I want to be. I set up our sensory wall and I love watching little hands discover it.

I'm in the Babies room with Tania — the bottle round, the nappy change, the long cuddle by the big bay window when a new baby is finding their feet. My favourite job is restocking the sensory wall when little hands have pulled it apart.
Juniors Room Leader · Dip. ECEC
The Juniors are mine. I set the shell-craft table fresh before you arrive and I get them into the sandpit first thing, before the Queensland sun gets high. Toileting happens when your child is ready, not to a deadline.
Pre-Prep Teacher · B. Ed (Early Childhood)
I teach our funded kindy year. The pre-preppers keep the weather chart by the door themselves each morning — it's a small job that teaches turn-taking, letters and looking after something. I'll walk you through exactly how we get them ready for big school.
Pre-Prep Educator · Dip. ECEC
I'm alongside Diane in Pre-Prep, and I run the Wednesday bayside walk — hi-vis vests on, one educator to every three children, counting pelicans on the way. Back for lunch and a rest before pickup.
Centre Cook · Cert III Commercial Cookery
I run the lunch trolley to every room, so I know each child's allergies and, more usefully, which sandwich the fussy ones will actually eat. Everything's made here that morning — no reheated trays.
