Centrely privacy policy
Centrely gives Australian childcare centres their website, hosted pages, cost estimates, and the enquiry and tour bookings that come through them. This policy explains what Centrely collects when a family uses one of those centre sites, what it does with it, who can see it, and the choices you have. The centre you contact is responsible for your information; Centrely runs the service that collects it and passes it to that centre.
In short
- When you enquire or book a tour, the details you enter are saved — that's how the centre can get back to you about a place. Centrely does not delete them the moment they reach the centre.
- Only the centre's own team can see your enquiry, plus Centrely's support team when they're helping that centre — and only through a logged, time-limited support session.
- The figures you type into the cost calculator — your income and activity details — stay in your own browser. They are never sent to the centre, never sent to Centrely, and never stored.
- We send your enquiry to the centre, send you a confirmation, add the tour to a calendar, and may text you about the booking. We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
- When a centre receives your enquiry, it keeps its own copy in its own inbox and systems. Anything Centrely deletes is Centrely's copy — we can't reach the centre's.
What we collect, as you go
You give us information a step at a time, and only what you choose to enter:
- When you look around — the pages you view, the room that matches your child's age, and whether you start or finish a cost estimate. This is activity information about the visit.
- When you use the cost calculator — your income, activity and family details are used in your browser to work out an estimate. They are not sent anywhere and not stored (see below).
- When you make an enquiry or book a tour — your name, email and mobile number; your child's age and the room it points to; the days you're after; when you'd like to start; the tour time you picked or asked for; any note you write; and the estimate figure you were shown. Where it's available, we also record how you arrived (for example, the link or campaign that brought you), so the centre has context.
The cost calculator stays in your browser
If you use the fee or subsidy calculator, the numbers you enter are used on your own device to show you an estimate. They are never sent to the centre, never sent to Centrely, and never stored. If you carry your answers over to the full subsidy checker, they travel inside your own browser and still aren't sent to anyone. The only figure that becomes part of your enquiry is the estimate you were shown — not the income or circumstances behind it.
No advertising trackers
Centre sites don't run advertising or cross-site tracking scripts. Your visit isn't used to build an advertising profile or follow you around the web. We don't sell personal information or share it with data brokers.
What we store, and why
Your enquiry or tour booking is saved securely so the centre can follow up with you about a place for your child. This is the point of the service — a centre can only call you back if your details are there to call back to. Keeping your enquiry is not a side effect; it's what you asked the centre to do.
Alongside your details we keep the practical parts of the booking — the room, the days, the age group, when you'd like to start, the tour time, the estimate shown, and the steps the enquiry moved through — so the centre can manage it and see how it's going.
Who can see your enquiry
Two groups, and no others:
- The centre you contacted — its authorised staff, through their Centrely dashboard. This is who you meant to reach.
- Centrely's support team — only when they're helping that centre, and only through a support session that is logged and time-limited. Support has to give a reason to open one, it ends automatically, and anything done during it is recorded against that session. We don't browse family records outside of helping the centre that holds them.
Your enquiry isn't shared with other centres.
What we send out
Once you enquire or book, a few messages go out — this is the service doing its job:
- a notification to the centre (and to any booking or admin address the centre nominated), so its team knows you're waiting;
- a confirmation to you, so you have a record of what you asked for;
- a calendar invitation for a booked tour, so the time is in your diary and the centre's;
- an SMS to your mobile about the booking, where the centre has texting turned on. You can reply STOP to any text and we'll stop texting that number.
The centre keeps its own copy
When we send your enquiry to the centre, the centre receives its own copy — in its email inbox, and in its own booking or enrolment systems. From that point the centre holds that copy under its own privacy, security and record-keeping practices.
This matters for deletion: this policy covers what Centrely holds and deletes. It can't speak for the centre's copy. If you want the centre's copy removed as well, you'll need to ask the centre directly — we can delete our record, but we can't reach into a centre's inbox or enrolment system for you.
How long Centrely keeps it
We keep your enquiry while the centre's account is active, because that's how the centre can come back to you about a place. There is currently no automatic deletion date on Centrely's side, and we're not going to name one here that isn't real. You can ask us to delete Centrely's copy of your enquiry at any time (see below).
Financial calculator inputs are never part of the record, so there's nothing to keep or delete there. Information that can't identify you or be linked back to you may be kept for reporting. Centre account settings and website content are kept while the account is active, and stay recoverable for at least 90 days after cancellation, so a centre that leaves can come back to what it built. Nothing is deleted on a timetable — if a centre wants its configuration removed sooner, it can ask us. That's the centre's own configuration, separate from any family enquiry. Some billing and business records may be kept where the law requires.
Service providers
Centrely uses trusted providers for hosting, databases, sending email and text messages, and processing payments. Card details are handled by our payment provider, not stored by Centrely. The published policy will name the material providers and any overseas processing.
Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect information. No online service can promise perfect security.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
Email hello@centrely.com.au. Tell us the centre you contacted and one contact detail you used, so we can find your enquiry and check it's really you. We'll help you see, correct or delete Centrely's copy. Because the centre also holds its own copy, a request about that copy may need to go to the centre as well.
Privacy complaints may also be made to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the review date and, where it's appropriate, let affected centres know.
